How to reach the 'Palais des Congrès de Liège'?
By car: see map

By airplane: Brussels airport is the only practical option. It is situated between Brussels and Liège at 85 kilometer from Liège. Traveling from the airport to Liège is most convenient by train. The journey takes approximately 1 hour 45 minutes. A ticket can be purchased at the train station at Brussels airport for about 10 Euro.  From Brussels airport you first take a train to Brussels city. In Brussels you will need to take another train to Liège, leaving from another platform. In Brussels city there are several train stations. Train stations and platforms to change trains in Brussels will depend on when you travel, so make sure you get good traveling information when you purchase your ticket at the airport.
You can also use the website from the Belgian railroad company to plan your trip. In this website, fill in "BRUXELLES-NAT-AIRPORT" in the "from" window, and "LIEGE-GUILLEMINS" in the "to" window. Choose a date and time for your trip, and press the search button.
By train: Liège is connected by TGV (Thalys) from France, The Netherlands and Germany and by Eurostar via Brussels from London.
The Holiday Inn and the Mercure hotels are located about 1.5 km and 3 km from the Liege train station (Guillemins) respectively (see street map of Liege). The hotels can be reached by taxi (less then 10 Euro), by public bus (1 Euro), or walking (not recommended when carrying heavy luggage). The Palais des Congrès is located next to the Holiday Inn hotel, and about 2 km from the Mercure hotel.
