How to reach Ferrara

Ferrara is well served by the Italian railway and motorway network, being located along the line connecting Venice, Florence and Rome.
It is also reasonably close to the international airports of Bologna, Verona and Venezia.

The closest airport is the “Guglielmo Marconi” airport in Bologna, 50 km far from Ferrara.
The second best choice, still within reasonable distance is Venice airport; more uncomfortable connections with Verona airport.

From the airport you can easily reach Bologna railway station using the bus shuttle service “Aerobus – BLQ”.

From Bologna you can take a train to Ferrara (Bologna/Venezia line), it takes about 30 minutes.

The Sala San Francesco is just off Corso Giovecca, at the beginning of Via Savonarola, right by the San Francesco Church.

Follow the directions to “Ferrara Centro” until you reach Viale Cavour, which then becomes Corso Giovecca. The Sala San Francesco is just off Corso Giovecca, at the beginning of Via Savonarola – it is right by the San Francesco Church.
