Tübingen

The 49th Workshop on Inner Ear Biology, together with the Symposium on “The Inner Ear in Translational Research: Closing the Gap toward Causal Treatment” will be held in the University town of Tübingen.

Tübingen is situated on the River Neckar in Southern Germany, in the heart of Baden-Württemberg, between the Black Forest and the Swabian Alb. It is a good place to live and work or simply to visit. The town has 87,000 inhabitants, including many students and academics from around the world. It combines the cosmopolitan air of a big city with the charm of an old university town.

Tübingen has a lot to discover: beautiful scenery, a picturesque medieval centre and the youthful energy of a centre of academia. The town offers a wide range of cultural and outdoor activities. A Stocherkahnfahrt, a punt ride on the Neckar, is a favorite with visitors and locals alike.

Tübingen is also a promising business location. The active regional economic policy provides many advantages for entrepreneurs. As a centre of research and development, and because of its famous University, Tübingen is always up-to-date on the economy and in the sciences.

The University was founded in 1477 by Eberhard im Bart, Count and later first Duke of Württemberg. The University motto "Attempto" characterizes the scientific mission of this conference.

Allow yourself to be enchanted by the charm and hospitality of Tübingen.
